Valentine’s Day Mood Lifters

The indomitable Bobbie Jean Stockton on my wedding day in 2004.

My January went to hell. So let’s skip straight to Valentine’s Day, shall we? 😍

January was going to be the perfect month for me to write blog posts, put the finishing touches on my new style course, and create the keynote presentation that I’ll be giving in Southern Indiana in June.

But January had other plans.

😢 My beloved Aunt Bobbie passed away.

🫤 Then the fire, war, and chaos news felt too heavy.

😳 My doc put me on a GLP1.

🙄 And then Pickles The Wonder Dog broke her toe. Another one. (If you were here in 2023 for the Summer of the Broken Toe Adventure, it’s the same foot, different toe. Way more painful.🫣

🥸 Now, it’s time to throw aside the weighted blanket, roll off of the couch, and pick ourselves up. And let’s start that with a great Valentine’s outfit, shall we?

First things first. You can wear Valentine’s Day hearts and flowers all February long. You are not wrong. You are, in fact, fully on point.

Second, these are conversation starters and mood lifters. So actually, wearing a themed piece of clothing is a public service. Well done!

Sweaters are great, but if that feels like too much, pop on a great accessory for just a touch of interest.

Are you ready for a happy Valentine’s Day? Let’s feel better together.❤️
